Intrinsic Security was founded on a simple belief: security works best when it is part of an organisation's essential nature, not bolted on afterwards.
Our founder, Alex Loizou, spent more than 20 years leading security inside some of Australia's most complex organisations, including as CISO of Medibank during the 2022 data breach. Intrinsic Security exists to give other leadership teams access to that experience before, during and after a crisis.
Why we exist
Plenty of cyber advice comes from people who have studied incidents. Far less comes from people who have led one.
When an organisation is breached, the technical response is only part of the challenge. Executives make consequential decisions on incomplete information, regulators and media are watching, and teams are exhausted. Then comes the long work of remediation, rebuilding trust and keeping momentum once the headlines fade.
